Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MediaConvert ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not install or use the App.

These terms apply to all versions of MediaConvert distributed through the Microsoft Store or any other official channel.

2. License Grant

IAM_DEV grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Install and use the App on Windows devices that you own or control
• Use the App for personal and commercial purposes

This license does not include the right to sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or otherwise exploit the App or its components.

3. Permitted Use

You may use MediaConvert to convert, compress, and process media files (images, audio, and video) that you own or have the legal right to process. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

4. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App to process, distribute, or convert any content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices within the App
• Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose

5. One-Time Purchase

MediaConvert is available as a one-time purchase through the Microsoft Store. Upon purchase, you receive a perpetual license to use the version(s) available at the time of purchase and any subsequent updates provided at no additional charge.

6. Refund Policy

Refunds for purchases made through the Microsoft Store are governed by Microsoft's refund policy. Please refer to the Microsoft Store support documentation for details on eligibility and the refund process.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including all software, design, graphics, and documentation, is the exclusive property of IAM_DEV and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by IAM_DEV.

Your files and the media content you process using the App remain your property. We claim no ownership over files you create, modify, or convert using MediaConvert.

8. Local Processing & No Data Collection

MediaConvert processes all files entirely on your local device. No files, metadata, or usage data are transmitted to external servers. All conversion history is stored only in a local database on your device and can be deleted at any time from within the App.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

IAM_DEV does not warrant that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• All media formats will be fully supported on every device configuration
• Output file quality will meet every specific requirement

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IAM_DEV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if IAM_DEV has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall IAM_DEV's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the App.

11. Updates and Modifications

IAM_DEV may release updates to the App from time to time to improve functionality, fix bugs, or add support for new formats. Updates distributed through the Microsoft Store may be installed automatically depending on your device settings.

IAM_DEV reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page when changes are made.

12. Termination

IAM_DEV may terminate your license to use the App if you violate these Terms of Use. Upon termination, you must stop using the App and uninstall it from your devices. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
